From the Miami Herald:
Frances, a Siamese cat, went missing a few days ago. Now experts say he likely fell victim to the 12-foot python discovered Sunday, contentedly coiled in the grass behind Frances' house.
The snake was the second to go public, part of a disenfranchised colony of Burmese pythons that seems to have taken up residence around the Everglades and now refuses to be ignored. This week another enterprising, if bad-tempered, python treated himself to a pre-Thanksgiving feast in South Dade.
