Hybrids
Mother Earth News ran an article this month on a new type of hybrid (not to market yet) that you plug in at night and recharge. So basically its an electric car until you run out of battery. This type of hybrid actually makes sense to me. Its all about the Li-Poly batteries. Fuels cells are bunk. Li-Poly batteries are the way.

OK - so I really know nothing about this... but I'll make the obvious comments anyways. How is this better than fuel cells (I'm protecting our Ballard Power Systems, [BLDP] stock right now...)? Plugging it in still requires energy, from fossil fuels? Hybrids require hydrogen, either through electrolysis, or chemical reaction, energy from fossil fuels? Maybe we can all use Sodium Bodohydride catalytic fuel cells instead (hyping my Millenium Cell stock [MCEL - a steal at 2.00 a share!] here...), which uses tremendously abundant and recyclable catalyst?
ReplyDeleteEither way, I want my own nuclear reactor. I anticipate that my personal energy requirements should grow exponentially as I perfect my twin ion engine.
